HOME INSPECTIONS
The primary purpose of the inspection is to educate you about the general condition of the home.
You are encouraged to attend the inspection. It is an opportunity for you to acquire a better understanding of the systems of your new home. In addition maintenance, repair and cost effective improvement advice is provided to increase this understanding. We encourage you to ask as many questions as you like to ensure we have addressed all your concerns.
We thoroughly inspect all the systems within your home. This covers the structural and mechanical elements of the home to ensure they were constructed properly and with the correct materials, and that these systems are not suffering from decay. Electrical systems are covered to determine they properly deliver energy needs adequately and safely. The building envelope is inspected to check the integrity of insulation, vapour barriers, ventilation and weather repellency.
At the end of the inspection, the inspector will go through the report with you explaining his findings and you will receive your copy of the report.
You should consider attending the inspection. Take this opportunity to become educated about the home, its systems and maintenance needs.
A typical inspection is usually 2 - 3 hours.
